压电生物传感器，是一种质量敏感型生物传感器，它利用对电压敏感的石英晶体产生弹性形变而引起其本身共振频率产生变化来进行检测的。传感过程中交流电压（在晶体中产生驻波的特征频率，这个特征频率依赖于晶体的弹性形变。当表面覆盖有生物识别元素的受体键合上目标分析物后，引起晶体共振频率的改变，这样就能获得检测信号。
